The Health Department requires that all caterers be licensed. We maintain a list of licensed caterers who have been approved by the Library Board for events at the library. The Health Department does not allow food preparation on site.

Food must arrive either hot or cold. (The warming oven heats to 190, pre-heating time 60 minutes.)

The kitchen needs to be left in clean condition at the end of the event. All garbage must be removed via the northwest ramp and taken to the dumpster in the garbage enclosure. (Use of wheeled garbage containers prevents grease and alcohol leakage on floors.) Please follow our recycling policy. Do not put the garbage into the recycling containers.

All equipment, supplies and rental equipment must be removed from the premises immediately after the event unless special arrangements have been made with the library office prior to the event.

When carving meat in the carpeted areas, the floors need to be well-protected.

No artificial colors may be used in punches.

If using a chocolate fountain or other similar items, please ensure the floors and walls are protected from splatters. 

Ice sculptures are discouraged. If used, floors must be protected.

The northwest ramp must be used for loading & unloading equipment.

The Library has a strict facility rental alcohol policy. All alcohol must be supplied and served by an appropriately licenses caterer. There is an additional fee for all events that include alcohol.
